Consultations
I offer chartered physiotherapy consultations for people living with chronic pain, fatigue, and invisible illness who want specialist input without committing to a longer coaching program. New patients book an Initial Assessment Pathway, while existing patients may book follow-ups for one-off support and problem-solving.
A single 45–60 minute consultation is usually not enough when you have years of symptoms, multiple diagnoses, and a long treatment history. If you are a new patient, your one-off consultation happens over two linked sessions. This “Initial Assessment Pathway” gives us enough time to understand your health history properly and build a clear, realistic plan centred on movement and exercise.
First consultation
Our first session is for listening and assessment.
We take time to explore:
your symptoms and their patterns
your medical and diagnostic history
previous investigations and treatments
your current movement, activity, and rest
your daily life, roles, and responsibilities
what you hope to change or protect
I will also assess how you move and how your system responds to different loads, always within what feels safe and manageable for you.
By the end of this first session, I have a working understanding of your situation and the key areas we need to focus on.
To book, select “Initial Assessment Pathway” in the patient portal and choose your first appointment. Your second session will be scheduled in-studio or online.
Second consultation
This is where we bring everything together.
We will:
complete any outstanding assessment
review the main findings from your first assessment
discuss what is realistically changeable and what needs to be managed
outline options for movement, exercise, and pacing that fit your life
agree on simple, concrete next steps
You will receive a management plan that is:
movement- and exercise-centred
tailored to your current capacity
focused on pacing, symptom response, and nervous system support
designed to be practical in the context of your real life
This two-step process is your “one-off” deep-dive: a thorough assessment plus a clear plan you can work with.
Follow-up options
After the Initial Assessment Pathway, you can choose what feels right for you:
continue with follow-up physiotherapy sessions (weekly, fortnightly, or spaced out), or
take time to work with your plan independently and come back if/when needed.
Follow-ups are optional and can be:
used to progress your program
used to troubleshoot flares and setbacks
spaced out as review sessions if you prefer
Returning patients who are part of a coaching program, or who have already completed the Initial Assessment Pathway may book single follow-ups directly through the patient portal.

This two-session pathway is often enough for people who:
want a thorough assessment
want a clear, realistic plan
prefer to implement changes themselves, with the option to check in later
Others choose to work with me over 4–12 weeks or longer, especially if they want structured support to rebuild movement tolerance, adjust exercise, and manage fatigue and flares over time.
We’ll decide together what makes sense for you once we’ve completed your assessment.

There is no difference in quality or depth between in-person and online sessions. If attending a clinic in Cork is taxing for you, or you live elsewhere, online sessions may be the best fit.
What you’ll need for online sessions:
A space to move (enough for a yoga mat)
A mat
A computer with a functioning camera and microphone
Adequate lighting so I can see you clearly
As my approach does not typically involve hands-on/manual therapy, you’ll receive the same level of care and input online as you would in person.
Not sure this is right for you? Drop me an email at hello@neurokinetica.com to explain your case and I will try our best to help or refer you.
