Frequently Asked Questions

  • I specialise in supporting people living with chronic and complex health conditions, including—but not limited to—persistent pain such as chronic back pain and neck pain, chronic cognitive and physical fatigue, diagnoses of fibromyalgia, long COVID, functional neurological symptoms, ankylosing spondylitis, spondyloarthritis, rheumatoid arthritis, inflammatory bowel disease, Multiple Sclerosis and other autoimmune conditions, burnout.

  • Yes. You don’t need a diagnosis to benefit from this work. If you’re dealing with fatigue, pain, or stress that feels persistent or poorly understood, we can begin with what you’re experiencing now.

  • Yes—with adaptations. It is especially suitable during a flare up. Sessions are designed to meet you where you are. If you're in a flare, we’ll adjust accordingly using breathwork, restorative practices, or even just conversation-based regulation work.

In case of flu-like symptoms please do not attend and reschedule.

  • Absolutely. Many clients also work with GPs, consultants, counsellors, or nutritionists. This approach is collaborative and works well alongside other forms of care.

  • Whether you're coming for physiotherapy or therapeutic movement, your first two sessions will include a conversation about your health history, current symptoms, and goals. We'll explore relevant movement patterns and begin tailored practices right away—ranging from breathwork to mobility or strength work, depending on your needs. Please read the Initial Assessment page to get a better understanding of the initial sessions.

  • Wear comfortable clothing you can move in—leggings, tracksuit bottoms, or anything you might wear to a gentle exercise or yoga class.

  • Just yourself and a willingness to engage with the process. Mats and props are provided for in-person sessions. For online sessions, you’ll need a yoga mat, some floor space, and a stable internet connection.

  • Please arrive 5 minutes early for in-person sessions to settle in. For online sessions, log in a couple of minutes before your scheduled time to check your setup.

  • The pre-session form helps ensure your session is safe, focused, and tailored to your needs. It gives insight into your current symptoms, relevant medical history, and what you're hoping to gain—so we can make the most of our time together and begin with a clear understanding of your context.

  • Yes. As a Chartered Physiotherapist, I am professionally and legally required to maintain accurate, confidential clinical notes for all physiotherapy sessions. These records help ensure continuity of care, track your progress, and support evidence-based treatment. Notes are stored securely in compliance with CORU and GDPR regulations.

  • Yes. To support meaningful and lasting progress, you’ll usually be given simple practices to explore between sessions. This might include breathwork, gentle movement, journaling prompts, or lifestyle shifts that reinforce what we’re working on together. Think of it as continued support, not homework—these practices are designed to be doable, relevant, and tailored to your capacity. The goal is for you to ultimately be independent and experience a significant shift in your life. In order to do this, we must work towards you acting on your own more and more as time goes by so that you are not reliant on a therapist.
