Initial Assessment

I offer personalised, whole-person care for people dealing with complex pain, fatigue and chronic illness. All new patients are expected to book the Initial Assessment Pathway which includes two consultations that are usually booked 1 week apart.

First Consultation

Your assessment is the starting point. It’s designed to be thorough, because short 20-minute consultations often miss the full picture, and you’ve likely already had several of those without lasting results.

During the assessment, we take time to explore your symptoms, medical history, daily life, previous and current treatments, and your goals. This allows me to build a clear understanding of your situation. From there, you and I work together to create a management plan that fits your needs.

When booking via the patient portal, please select the “Initial Assessment Pathway” and select your first appointment among available times. Your second appointment will be booked in-studio.

Second Consultation

During our second consultation of the Initial Assessment Pathway I will outline potential treatment options and explain what support I can offer. My approach is movement-based, person-centred, and grounded in evidence and lived understanding. If needed, I will also suggest referrals to other professionals who can help.

Following Up

After the assessment package is complete, I offer follow-up sessions to support you as you put your plan into action. I continue to work alongside you and, where appropriate, with your wider health care team to help you move forward. Follow-up sessions are not necessarily required, and can be arranged at a time that suits you, even a couple of months down the line.

If you have already been a patient you may directly book online a follow-up consultation by selecting any of the available times through the patient portal.

I remain flexible and committed to prioritising your needs and finding a care plan that actually works for you.

Other useful information

  • You may be eligible for partial reimbursement:

    • Tax relief: You can claim 20–42% back on physiotherapy sessions as part of your medical expenses through Revenue’s Med 1 process.

    • Health insurance: Many Irish insurers (VHI, Irish Life, Laya, Aviva, etc.) offer physiotherapy rebates. Check your individual policy for eligibility.

  • Please provide at least 24 hours’ notice via email if you need to cancel or reschedule.

    • Cancellations with less than 24 hours' notice will be charged 50% of the session fee.

    • Cancellations with less than 6 hours' notice will be charged the full session fee.

  • This is not a quick fix. Therapy is not something done to you, it’s a collaborative process. As a healthcare professional, I offer consultations to support you in working toward better self-management and health outcomes.

Some people benefit from just the Initial Assessment Pathway (two consultations), where we explore your current situation and outline a path forward. Others choose to work with me over 4–12 weeks, or even longer, allowing time to implement strategies, build capacity, and make lasting changes.

We’ll decide together what’s most appropriate for you during your initial consultation.

  • There is no difference in quality or depth between in-person and online sessions. If attending a clinic in Cork is taxing for you, or you live elsewhere, online sessions may be the best fit.

What you’ll need for online sessions:

    • A space to move (enough for a yoga mat)

    • A mat

    • A computer with a functioning camera and microphone

    • Adequate lighting so I can see you clearly

As my approach does not typically involve hands-on/manual therapy, you’ll receive the same level of care and input online as you would in person.

  • I am a CORU-registered Chartered Physiotherapist in the Republic of Ireland. Therefore, physiotherapy sessions are available only to residents of Ireland.

If you are based outside Ireland, I can offer coaching and movement therapy sessions instead. The format and structure are very similar, and still rooted in the same principles of integrative, personalised care.
